Corfu

The greenest island in the Ionian: olive groves down to the sea, turquoise bays and an old town like no other in Greece.

Cliffs, bays and sunsets

The west coast of Corfu has the island’s best-known beaches: long stretches of sand, small coves below the cliffs and water that changes colour through the day.

Here the sun sets into the sea. Every evening, from the balconies and the terrace, the sunset is the best show of the day.

The old town

Narrow lanes, fortresses and the Liston

The old town of Corfu has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2007. Its narrow lanes, tall houses and squares recall the centuries when the island was Venetian.

Walk under the arcades of the Liston, climb the Old and the New Fortress for the view, and stop for a coffee on the Spianada, the town’s largest square.

Beaches
